A few weeks back I photographed the new Partywell Line for Farewell Paperie, a sweet little letterpress company based out of Seattle. They design & press sweet & sassy greeting cards, foil stamped napkins, wedding posters, baby shower invitations, treat toppers & a whole lot more. You can find their personality packed products at Papyrus, Paper Source, and Urban Outfitters Stores. The awesomely talented Jenny Batt of HankAndHunt.com (Jenny's blog, check it out- it's ripe full of easy to follow tutorials on party decorations for every.single.occasion.ever.) was the stylist for the shoot and with the help of the best assistant ever (thank you miss Anika Shaw!) we were able to produce quite a heap of images for web, catalog and print! I was seriously delighted when I was first approached by the owners (Jen & Lisa) about this project. Letterpress is a beautiful method of print and through hours upon hours of trial & error I managed to learn barely enough to press my own business cards last year. The satisfaction you get from cranking the roller and seeing your logo pop out on the end is ultimately worth it. We shot in the Old Rainier Bottling Plant in Old Georgetown which, If you've never been, is a great place for photographs & lunch and you should definitely check it out!
