Berry Almond Smoothie

Smoothie time! Get the day off right with a power-packed concoction of fruit, milk, raw almonds & a dash of honey-

 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup fresh or frozen berries

1/2 cup rice milk (or nut milk or cow milk)

1/10" ginger root, peeled

1 banana

1/3 cup sliced raw almonds

1/2 Tbs honey

 

Steps:

1: Combine all ingredients except honey in blender. Blend until almonds are indestinguishable in mixture

2: Turn blender to low & slowly add honey. Blend until honey is fully incorporated

 

One of the best things about smoothies is their versatility. Whatever fruit is in season (raspberries, pomegranates, apples, mangos), substitute in place of the berries for a seasonal twist. The possibilities are endless.
