Local Roots Take 2- The Farm

Local Roots Farm, Duvall Washington

Lately I have been traveling to different farms, vineyards and creameries in King & Kitsap county here in washington, photographing places that determined, hard-working folk are shaping into specialty products that are sold at various Seattle Farmer's Markets. It's not quite the time of year or weather but the people I've been able to visit have been nothing if not hospitable and excited, not to mention passionate. I love the traveling aspect of food photography- getting to see the farms, orchards, and bakeries where it all starts. It's a kind of photojournalism, telling a story.
